GABRIEL OTU!

"I am a West African performer, dancer and teacher.
Growing up on the beaches of Ghana's South Coast, I started traditional African dance at the ripe young age of 7 and pursued in continuing my Fathers footsteps in playing percussion, singing and carving djembes.

I spent 10 years travelling Ghana with my profession and in 2008 made the leap to Australia to share the joys of my culture and learn what this vast country had to offer.

In my home country, Ghana, music and dance is a part of everyday life growing up, music for every occasion. As we did not all have the opportunity to learn life skills via schooling education but rather we learnt them in many ways. For myself especially, drumming and dancing taught me focus, dedication, meditation and the ability to find my own unique rhythm and expression. Music is my therapy and my purpose is to share this gift."

Wow, huge thanks to Celestino for lining this one up for us! Muchos Gracias!! Going to be incredible....
